As a Professional Engineer with a graduate degree in Environmental Studies, Stephen has nearly four decades of experience consulting in fields related to the mitigation of climate change impacts including; greenhouse gas inventories, sustainable energy planning and policy, sustainable energy systems design, feasibility and economic analysis, and issues relating sustainable energy to international/economic development and the environment. He has helped to establish the first Canadian national greenhouse gas emission inventory and response strategy and consulted in other countries, notably Mexico and China, on the establishment of an inventory and a response strategy. Overall, his experience allowed him to work with governments, industry, international agencies and the non-profit sectors in over 15 developing countries as well as all parts of Canada. He is now retired and dedicated to bringing his experience to Lanark County where he resides with his wife and a 10 kW solar array.
