Location: Lanark County (hybrid)
Hours: Full-time (35 hours/week) | Term: 8 weeks

If you’re passionate about climate action, love storytelling, and have a knack for communication and design, this is a unique opportunity to build your portfolio while making a real impact in your community.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Marketing & Communications (40%)
Assist in the development of strategies for both direct and digital marketing campaigns.
Create, curate, and manage content for social media platforms — from posts and visuals to engagement and collaborations.
Support the production of newsletters, brochures, website content, and press releases.
Research and write local stories related to climate action and community-led sustainability efforts. Additional asset if you’re familiar with video content and editing.
Conduct surveys and gather feedback to help guide communications strategies.
Capture photos and videos at events (or coordinate volunteers to assist with this).
Administrative Support (40%)
Monitor and respond to external email communications for local stories and media collaborations.
Take meeting minutes and organize data from research or consultations.
Support GM in responding to inquiries through our general inbox.
Event Coordination (20%)
Assist the GM in delivering community events, and outreach activities
Help with event logistics: day-of activities, promotional materials, communications, and setup.
Promote events and campaigns to increase public engagement and awareness.
Design and facilitate engagement activities at in-person events to attract and inspire potential donors.
Who We’re Looking For:
Aged 15–30 (required by the Canada Summer Jobs program).
Able to be in person for occasional events across Lanark County, will require limited weekend availability (Saturdays).
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Familiar with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and basic design tools (e.g., Canva)
Organized, self-motivated, and passionate about climate issues and community-based work.
Experience with photography/videography and newsletter design is an asset.

CNL is pleased to announce that we have received sufficient funding to allow us to roll out our pilot Climate Concierge program. We are seeking a person part-time to promote the program and then to coordinate the community clusters and activities from now through the end of this year. The Climate Concierge Service knits community members who own single-family homes and small businesses with resources and information that is specific to Lanark County. At its core, it connects community member to community member, to provide motivation, leading edge knowledge, peer support and connections to the specific trade and supplier expertise in that particular community. The net result is home and business owners who are able to make the best decisions about reducing their own GHGs with confidence.
We are just working out the details but this position will be starting ASAP.
Part-time, approx. 70 hours/month from June through December.
The successful candidate must be able to work flexible hours, including evening meetings and weekend events.
Compensation is $30/hr.
Ideal Candidate will be a homeowner with experience managing a house, have management experience, strong skills in communications, marketing and community development, knowledge of the house as a system, and strong computer skills.

Part-time, contract
We are seeking a motivated, organized, experienced person to fill the position of Administrative Coordinator for this quickly growing, new organization. The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for providing a wide range of administrative and executive support to the Board of Directors and the management team, including Database Management, Volunteer Coordination, Meeting management and Communications activities. Additionally experience in creating marketing materials, research and assisting with promotional activities would be an asset. Familiarity with climate related topics and an interest in local climate action would be an asset.
Wage: $20/hour
Work conditions: Remote position with some in-person meetings and events around Lanark County
Hours: 30 hrs/week flexible schedule
Eligibility: Age 30 and under
